Hi Elizabeth :)

Easiest way is once your photos are hosted you want to copy the link that has IMG  on either end of the url

Flicker is kinda a pain, may i suggest Photobucket for your model pics  ;)

Cute pic btw =D

Oh dear!

I was meant to delete that post as I don't think that photo is really suitable for this type of site but I have both Firefox and IE open trying to work out if it was a browser problem and when I came back you had posted a comment so I can't delete it anymore.

I am trying to get my photos to automatically show in the post but I can only get the links to show.

Thanks for the complement though.

You can but only if the site you use provides a image code for BB style forums, then you just paste that link into the post and you will have your pic.

You can delete that link by clicking the more tab and selecting edit (top right of the post =)

I can't believe that two people are actually following this thread. It wouldn't have anything to do with a certain photo that I posted would it?

I should really delete it but for the moment I shall leave it as I am still having a couple if issues posting my modelling photos. The first photo is from Flickr and I could only manage to get the link to show so I have been hard at work learning how to use Photobucket  and I am going to try again but this time with a slightly toned down photo of me and hopefully I can then post my model truck photos.

If anyone has a problem with the photo, let me know and I will try to get rid of it.

I have no idea what you are trying to suggest Whistling

When you reply, or post, you need to use the "insert media" icon (the little piece of filmstrip) to enter the url that was mentioned earlier. Not the easiest way of doing it, but you get used to it!

The count and the question itself are not typical of an FNG poster...they usually post without pics, but her link leads me to believe she is misguided...someone who wants attention drawn to her and her lifestyle. Judge for yourself after looking through her "album" of "modeling" images...note there are none there that reference any plastic scale modeling efforts. TROLL/SPAMMER what ever you want to call her. She could have easily linked to something related to this forum.

It looks like I have getting off to a flying start here and I am NOT impressed at being called a troll!

HawkeyeHobbies: Well excuse me but please be my guest and share with me just exactly what is the typical FNG question which I should have asked? As far as I can tell I have not done anything wrong and I do not like being sla**ed off. The reason you can smell a troll might be because you have athletes foot or your nose is too close to your backside but the smell is not coming from me.

Can I remind everyone that this is a testing forum. As I have never come across one before I spent some time reading the help sections trying to find an answer to what this testing forum is actually for. I couldn't find any answer so I looked at a few other posts and from the very small amount of view counts and the lack of posts being followed I decided it must be for people like me to make our mistakes here before posting in the other forums. So, if that is correct then why are so many people looking at my test? Nobody else's is being scrutinised, nobody else's is being followed and more to the point, how am I responsible for the view count or how many posts it says I have or have not posted?

Perhaps I am being misguided. But if I am then something is wrong with Google because that's what guided me here.

HawkeyeHobbies: "she is misguided...someone who wants attention drawn to her and her lifestyle" Wow! That's fantastic! You managed to think of all that from a few photos, most of which were taken on one night. That's amazing! But WRONG! The only thing you know about me is that I have a few friends and I can enjoy myself when I go out.
That Flickr account is the only thing in the world that points back to me. I don't use facebook or any other pointless chat sites so I'm not doing a very good job of grabbing all the attention. I used that photo because it is the first photo in my set and that set is the only thing online I have to choose from. Of course you didn't find any modelling photos when you were learning my life story as I said at the beginning of this thread, if I can get a photo to show I will then post my modelling photos. I wasn't going to upload everything to Flickr only to find it didn't work. That's why I posted in the testing forum (that nobody reads) to start with.

oddmanrush: Don't tell me, let me guess .... err .... you agree? Thanks for that helpful contribution to this forum that nobody reads. In fact it was so helpful you posted it twice in case I missed it the first time! What a hero you are!

VanceCrozier: Thank you so much for giving me the benefit of the doubt. It's a lot easier to go along with other people but you didn't and I am truly grateful for that. It's nice to know not everyone thinks I am fat, short, green and stink with black hair coming out of my nose and ears. I mean, come on! Black hair! It's more of a blonde colour. (Joke)

I don't know what position this is going to leave me in but I have said what I needed to say. Tomorrow is always another day. I have learned that modelling is a male dominated hobby and I need to be very carefully. I am genuine, it is me in the picture and I have been learning Photobucket as fast as possible to post my photos and find out what people think. I have uploaded 18 photos of the build and wrote down plenty of information to go with each photo to explain how I managed to turn scrap into something I am really proud of. I was going to post them tonight but it is far too late now. If I am not banned I will try to post them tomorrow evening.

Liz, I am not above apologizing for mistakes in judgment. Sorry for interpreting a first impression incorrectly...the picture just seemed...out of place, as I'm sure you can understand...As you say, tomorrow is another day and hopefully my comment will not deter you from continued participation.

Unfortunatly every now and again we do get a troll pop into the forum. There were just a couple of things, that started to seem suspicious. Not only the photo, but your post count is off. It say you have made 3 posts, when clearly you haven't. Now i am no computer expert, so i have no idea how this could have happened. No doubt this has nothing to do with you, but you have to admit, looking at it from our side, where trolls come and go, it does look a bit iffy.

If you are genuine, and i hope you are, then i to offer my apologieses for any doubts i may have had. If you stay around a while, you may well see a troll pop up. Then you may understand the concerns raised.

As for hawk, he is a highly respected member of this forum. If he has or had a concern that you are not genuine, it was itself a genuine concern bourne from experiance.

Nothing to do with her, and very easy to figure out.  This is the "Testing" forum.  Posts here don't go against your post count, nor do they show up when you search for a user's posts.  It is, after all, where you go to test your posting without having to bother everyone with mistakes. Unfortunately, FSM software doesn't filter posts to the Testing Forum out of the Recent Posts display.  So, a lot of people mistook her test posting for a real post (of which she has a few and they do not look anything like trolling to me).
