Forum search?
Posted by mrmike on Monday, August 13, 2012 10:07 PM

I must be missing something obvious (I'm skilled at that), but I can't find a way to search the forum for previous posts relevant to a topic. In the "old days" a search box would be available in whatever discussion one was in - I'm not finding that feature in the new format. How can I do that?

#1 Use «View Recent Posts» use below «Forums» —or

#2 Use the «Search our Community».

Occasional factual, grammatical, or spelling variations are inherent to this thesis and should not be considered as defects, as they enhance the individuality and character of this document.

Thanx...the community search doesn't seem to work like the search functon in the previous forum. The specific example being "hasegawa parts". I need to order a replacement canopy, and I remember there was at least one relevant discussion recently. So I type that into community search and instead of a field of excerpts from threads with "hasegawa parts" highlighted like a google search, I get a bunch of thread titles with "Hasegawa" in them. Is this really the way the new search function is supposed to operate? I could, of course, post my question, but it seems so trivial when the topic has been covered several times over.

Thanx again!

mike
