Trying to copy and paste from both Photobucket and a wordpad file

I did the Zvezda Dreadnought with the Pontos detail set.  The net booms were brass turnings. I put the net on as almost the last step.  The rigging for the booms was functional- the thread actually helped keep the booms level when I added the weight of the net (PE).  But I had no trouble putting it on last, after everything else was finished. I did drill the holes in the hull at an earlier step, though, anticipating the boom inner ends going into those holes.  I put the booms in, rigged the support lines, and then attached the net. It was a bit of a bother getting the net on, as it wanted to pull down the first few booms even with the rigging on them. I had to block up those first few booms, then take them out when the net was held up by more of the booms.  And, the net kept twisting a lot while putting it on- took a lot of care- but it went okay.  Don't know what your net material is, if it is something lighter than brass you may find it easier than the PE brass I had.

Are you testing posting photos and looking for help with that technique?  Otherwise, this really ought to be moved to the Ships forum.

I think there may be a minor issue in the current forum software with the image tags from Photobucket.  I noticed it, after the latest forum upgrade.  If you look at your post, notice how all of the text after your first image, is in boldface.  I think the page is reading and applying the image tag text differently than it used to.

It makes me wonder if we should use one of the other tags, like the direct tag, for better compatibility with FSM's forum software.

I was trying to find out if there was a more efficient way to post in the Ships forum using both my Photobucket library and word pad in my Windows OS. I tried one method here and it worked so I copied the html from this forum and pasted in the ships forum. Worked fine. The direct tag does not do what I'd like it to do - open in a separate tab. That's why I use the IMG tag rather than the "Direct" tag and simply paste the code in the text window rather than use the little square picture icon.

This reply should really be in my WIP in the Ships forum but, since you probably didn't realize that I'd posted my WIP there, I'll make one last comment/reply regarding the actual build of the kit in this thread.

First, thanks for the information and the order you did your booms/nets on your Zvezda Dreadnought.

Since my kit is of the 1915 refit, and because during the time between June 1915 and the end of 1916, the Dreadnought shed her torpedo booms and nets, I'll not worry too much about the placement of the booms. I certainly have no plans to create the nets. I will probably attach the booms at some point - I'm just not sure when.

I use the image tag, too, but as I said, since the forum upgrade, from the point of the first image tag in my body of text, all subsequent text is bold-faced, which didn't use to happen.

I like using the image tag, too, because I want the image embedded in my posts.  I'm not as much a fan of having the images open in another tab or navigate me to the storage location.  But I also learned that after a recent upgrade at Photobucket, the image tag didn't get handled the same way anymore by the ancient software used at Hyperscale.  There, we need to use the direct tags, for best results, or rather, to keep the veteran members there from howling about how the actual start and end tags display next to the image.
