Hello from the new guy
Posted by golfgunny on Saturday, May 4, 2013 3:37 PM

Hello all.  My name is John and I'm new to the forum and newly returned to the hobby.  I have two projects completed as an adult, and I'm improving with each one.  I look forward to learning from all of you.

Cheers.

Welcome Sign   Welcome back to the madhouse. Feeding times are still irregular, but the natives remain friendly (well, MOSTLY friendly).

I'm mostly interested in WWII aircraft, but there's a couple of modern birds that are on my list as well.  My first two builds are an F-4F and a P-51B.

First of all, welcome! I take it you are a Marine? I think many, if not most of us in here are service members or veterans, so you are among good company.

And if I may suggest, the best way to get to know people here and learn techniques fast is to join a Group Build. We have several good ones going on right now, just go to the Group Build section, and see what suits your interest. You mentioned WW2 aircraft, and I am hosting a 1943 GB now with a 1944 in the plans.

Look forward to seeing you around the forums!
