Taking the great leap
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, November 16, 2003 12:26 AM
Well I tried yesterday to enter for the first time and did'nt quite suceed, so this is my second attempt. I've been checking in on forum for a while now, but finally gotten around to actually commiting. Got my first model when I was five years old, the X-15; and have been building off and on for the last forty years. Mainly 1/48th american military aircraft, all eras; but I have strayed some and built a few german and soviet struff. Thought about getting some british and japanese planes but not yet. Trying to finish my basement right now, so the planes are stored away- safe and sound. I hope..Sigh [sigh]

Like other online forums, it's a system that gives you a "rank" based on how much you participate. The more stars, the more times you've posted. I saw on another thread that the ranking system goes like this:

0-9 Snap-together
10-99 Box Stock
100-499 Aftermarket
500-999 Multi-media
1000-1999 Kit-bashed
2000 + Scratch-built

I guess you and I have quite a ways to go, eh? Wink [;)]
