Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, November 16, 2003 1:27 AM
G'day, my name is mark and I live in a country town in New South Wales called Milton. I am fortunate that i live only 4 minutes from the surf and also on a farm. The best of both worlds.My favourite model subject is rotary wing aircraft.I was a member of the aussie navy fleet air arm and was a L.A.M.E on seaking and seahawk aircraft for 18 years.I have many detaled photos of both these aircraft.They are different to the U.S variants.Very different.I will be glad to help anybody who needs info on Aussie military subjects. hooroo

G'day Mark.
Welcome to the forum - have a good one here, and I think I might just take you up on that offer of detail shots of RAN helos.
Do the Seahawks have the rectangular tail like the Army ones?
What do you grow on the farm? I'm interested as I'm an engineer working for a company that makes seed drills, mainly for broadacre and raised beds. There's a bucketful of our machines in NSW (mainly the Riverina) sowing wheat, barley, canola etc etc.........
I've got some great photos of the Victoria Police Dauphin (VH-PVH , not the air amulance) - maybe we could trade the Dauphin for Seahawk photos.
Anyway, send me an email on the link below.
Cheers, mate.

Mark;
Welcome to the forums, nice to see another Aussie join us.

Although I don't model aircraft (Smile,Wink, & Grin [swg]to many years spent serving with the RAAF) Im sure there will many others who will pick your brains on your subject matter.
Wayne I enjoy getting older, especially when I consider the alternative.

G'day Mark,
I have just joined as well and am also from Australia. I am always interested in photos of Aussie equipment. Good pics are hard to find especially in Cairns where I live. I mainly do armour at the moment, but helicopters interest me a lot. I have collected a number of pics, mainly of Aussie armour but also some Aussie F/A 18's and Bell Iroquis.
Anyway, catch you later.
