Good point Larry. I don't drive(I'm one of those few teenagers that just didn't care to drive) and always try to keep a camera around in case. I was on the verge of a happy dance when I found a howitzer at the county courthouse.

These kinds of museums are all over the country. Many military installations have museums. just find the one closest to you on the web and they should have all the info you need. also military web sights such as af.mil are great sources. check them out . you will be suprised at whats in your own backyard

Welcome to the forum family, Larry! It must be nice to have access to an AF museum to do all your research!

I got back into modeling after a 30 year absence. I forgot how much fun it is. I build mostly USAF modern planes. I go to different Af museums to get detail on the kit i'm building . Very helpful.
glad to join the group
good modeling to all
