Welcome to FSM wurzgur. Glad to have you aboard. Eric's right about the Parafilm. Give it a try.

Welcome to the forums, wurzger!

Is the masking giving you fits? I don't build too many aircraft (being an Armor guy) but, I do use a product called Parafilm M for masking.

You stretch it out over the canopy and then cut out along the lines you want painted. It doesn't allow paint to "creep" underneath and removes easily. You can also use it for other masking jobs.

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] Wurzger. Canopy portion of the build is my least favorite part. I have been following some great advice in the A/C forum on the subject. So I just keep practicingBig Smile [:D]

Welcome to posting to the forum Wurzger. I'm sure someone around the aircraft forum would be willing to give you some help on that canopy.

Hi all,
Decided to toss my hat into the ring. I have been reading the forums for several months, and I just wanted to get involved. I have built many Balsa wood models and RC's. I found out that I am much better at building them than flying themBlush [:I]
As a kid I built with plastic and have decided to go back to them.
I am currently working on a Hasegawa 1/32 scale BF109E.
I have much to learn, the canopy is giving me fits. My Favorite
subjects are WW II aircraft.
