Evening all, I'm just getting back into the hobby after a long hiatus. Being in the military doesn't give you much time to do anything. I served in an armored cavalry unit as a loader in the M1A2 so you can get an idea where my modeling interests lies. I'm a very big fan of armored fighting vehicles of WW2 and the present. I just joined the forum and I can already tell there's a good bunch of people here. Hope you all can help me out with your ideas and advice. Sincerely, Steve GO CAV!

Hello everyone

Hello everyone, I have been reading the forums for a good bit, and also read the magazine as well. It has been probably 15 years since I have worked on building a model plane boat car etc. I have several interests as to tanks, planes and cars. I am just getting things together to be able to work on models again, I done some miniature painting for a bit, but have had my eye back on plastic models for a few years. I built several models during my teenage years those mostly consisted of cars and planes.
With work and family it can be hard to have time for everything a person would like to be doing.
But with all the rambling out of the way, I am hoping to get started modeling again in a few days, just bought a messchersmidt BF-109E4/7 TROP Tamiya kit, forgive the spelling Big Smile [:D] Now doing research into who to model it after. also a fan of scale. I have been to several shows featured giant scale r/c planes, also have a few .40 size ones. Only downside there is I have to be in the workshop away from the family, and wifey gets a little warm if away from the family too long.
So with this I see I can get my enjoyment of building, having a nice model to display and will have something to sit back and look at, even though I have very poor skills at the moment I am sure. I saw some very good tips and how tos on the site here. And it nice to say this seems to be a very good group of people.

Thanks
Dorgan
