Hi! I was directed here by my friend Shrikes, and I am from the Philippines as well. I am a history teacher.

I used to build models when I was a little kid, but stopped for a while. Then I received a Badger air brush and realized I should get into the groove again, so I slowly bought around eight or nine kits which are sitting in my room, unbuilt because I don't have the heart (or guts) to build them and screw them up. I am strictly out of the box, and like Shrikes, the most rebellious thing I'll do is change the paint scheme, lol. Blush [:I]

I build 1/35 scale WW2 tanks and I generally prefer the Allied vehicles, especially the less popular ones. So, my unbuilt kits include the M-7, M-12, M-10, Achilles, Buffalo, Cromwell, M-8 GMC, M-5 Stuart (by Tamiya), the M-15 AA vehicle, the Churchill by Tamiya, along with a Pv-IVH, a very out of place MARS and a 1/12 armoured knight (LOL). I also have boxes of 1/72 figurines-- English men at arms, French knights, Teutonic knights, Crusaders and Saracen warriors. I am a HUGE fan of the M-4 Sherman, btw, and would love to get my hands on some nice, esoteric Sherman kits.

[:0] Hey, Red! Finally took time out of your "hectic" schedule to join up! He is being modest, of course... (out of the box my @$$). You guys should pressure him into posting some pics of the tanks he's got as "gate gu ards" for his cubicle in school! It's about time for you to really figure out that airbrush so that i can use it too! Evil [}:)] Lots-a treadheads around here to make you feel at home... And don't forget we're supposed to go on a supplies buying excursion to exotic locales like, quiapo! Welcome again my friend!!

Welcome to FSM redknight. Good to have another Sherman fan join us here.

No time like the present to get over the pre-build jitters. Pick a kit, check around the Armour Forum for some tips and tricks, ask questions, and get building.

Don't worry about making mistakes, it's part of the learning process.

I look forward to your posts in the Armour Forum.
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

Welcome Redknight. Don't be nervous about messing up an armor piece. If you mess the paint up, put on a tarp. Break something , battle damage. Just jump right and fun with it.

Hi Red,

Welcome to FSM, pare (friend). Glad to have another Filipino modeler around. Don't be scared to work on your kits. Afterall you can always go back to Lil's and get the same kit if you messed it up. LOL. Just joking. Just try it and I know you'll get hooked.

See you around the Armor Forum.

LOL, this I'm actually planning on doing. Blush [:I] I want to finish my collection of WW2 Allied open-top TDs so I want to buy the Academy M-18 AGAIN, and I also want to buy the Sherman AGAIN, LOL.

Yay for friendly forums! I've been to quite a lot of forums on a lot of topics and this has been the friendliest so far!
