Welcome John. I am sure the members over in the sci-fi section will be more than happy to have you join in with their discussions. Visit the other areas and you will find we are all here for one reason. To build models and have fun.

Welcome to the forums, John! You know, i get the same sort of feeling every now and again... like just the other week, i felt like i wanted to build a PBY, so i shelved a tiger and a B-17, and that's what i'm building now! You'll feel right at home here... maybe you can even get your wife addicted to model building! Historyinscale here was able to convince his wife (much to his dismay from what i've read... Big Smile [:D]) and now, we're awaiting pictures of the first model! If you have any questions about the starship enterprise, check out the space/sci-fi forum... lots of trekkies there that are willing to help!

My name is John. After about a 15year hiatus, I got back into modelling with a vengeance. I used to build anything I could get my hands on, but now that I'm back, I'm more selective. My main media is 1/350 military ships, but what drew me back into medelling was the unexplainable need to have all of the Starships Enterprise with working lights.
I have a very understanding and supportive wife who doesn't mind that the guest room is now a hobby studio.
