Interested in 1/48 scale plastic aircraft models. Not new to model building but not an expert by any means. I enjoy all era's of aircraft but prefer prop driven more than jets.

I am 60 years old and retired Navy. I run my own website dealing in Old-Time Radio shows in MP3 format on CDs http://www.bobbysotr.com.

Just purchased a Tamiya F4U-1D Corsair w/Moto-Tug kit but have not started to build it yet as I am waiting on paints for the kit. I would like to find some large scale engine kits like the P&W radial used in the Corsair. I really love the old radials.

I would like to get into more detailing and am interested in finding out about aftermarket detail kits and photo-etched parts. I can do some scratch-building but prefer professional details when I can find them.

Hello Bobby, welcome to the forum. You and Steve-O(Blackwolfscd) will have something to talk about. He is also a fan of the old radio programs. He has an interesting section about it on his website. http://spasticforplastic.1hwy.com I'm looking forward to your postings

Hi again Bobby, I just got back from looking around your site, neat! I think I'll have to set a side a little cash in the near future. That BBC J.R.R. Tolkien set sounds good as does the Inner Sanctum! Great site thanks for sharing.Cool [8D]

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] Rbreslin. Props are my favorite and so is the F4U-1D. Lake Eufaula is rather famous for Bass fishing. Never had the chance to fish there but would like to some day.
