Hi Wayne from SA. Good to hear from you. Cairns is surprisingly limited for models, references and materials. There isn't even a hobby shop here, Toys R' Us is the closest thing. I grew up in Brisbane, that's where I got into models.

What are you interested in with your modelling? Do you have any photos posted?
Hear from you soon.
Catch ya later, Wacky

I mainly model 120mm Fiqures and german Armor. No photos yet but I am working on it. Hope to post photos of the fiqure I am working on now and the 60cm Morser when they are finished.
Wayne I enjoy getting older, especially when I consider the alternative.

G'day Capt' Caveman,
Thanks for the links mate. Their awesome! They've even got colour pics of the Marder II. I spent quite some time doing searches for "marder II images" and the best I got was old blurry pictures.
So tell me, are you working on anything at the moment?

G'day Everybody
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, November 24, 2003 11:38 AM
G'day everybody,Big Smile [:D]
I'm a new member here. I was just having a browse in the forum, there were so many discussions I didn't know where to start, I decided to introduce my self and get my bearings from there.
I am 29 and live in Australia. I started modelling at 10 with cars. Went of it in my late teens then got into Games Workshop 40k. I did this for some time, then I grew up (from a certain piont of view), and 2 years ago got into 1/35th armour.
My first completed project is a diorama featuring a Tiger 1 and its crew going over maps with some german soldiers in a field. I am now doing an Aussie M113 FSV and an Aussie F/A 18 Hornet, and have just bought a Marder II, and a VW type 87
I have one Question at this stage. Can anyone tell me where to find good walk around pictures online? Good reference books are impossible to get in the area I live and so expensive on mail order. I am particularly interested in finding Marder II's, VW type 60's, and German WWII motor bikes.
Thanks for reading, speak to you soon, Wacky
