Tongue [:P]Hi folks

Name is fuimus from Cape Town South Africa. I am 33 and specialise in plane from the WWI era. However, I am new at the whole process and I am still a bit wary of my airbrush. At present I am concentrating on 1/72 scale, however, 1/48 looks like it could be fun. Would appreciate any hints and tips . Or if you just want to say hi, feel free to contacty me

Welcome to the forums, fuimus!

Don't be afraid of the airbrush. The best thing to do is to get one and practice. I know once you do, will never go back to the old spray cans again!

Welcome fuimus. Eric is right don't be afraid of the airbrush, just pick it up aim at something you don't care about and play with it a little and next thing you know it's spraying your next build.

Hi, I like anything military. But those WWI were a work of heart, since that what you needed to fly one. I perfer 1/144 myself if I could find some.

Hello fuimus, Welcome to forum. I keep an old kit on hand to try out paint consistency, camo patterns, or any other effects I'm about to try. It will help boost your confidence before you spray the finished kit. Those fine FSMer's above are 100% right, get your feet wet and go for it!Wink [;)]

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] Fuimus. Just dive right in there. Don't be afraid to try different subjects. Ask alot of questions in the correct forum. The more you build the more you will learn. Pass what you have learned onto other modelers.

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] fuimus we all had to start sometime and speaking for myself I was very wary of my airbrush but now it just another tool for modelling.

Just remember modelling is all about enjoying yourself.
Wayne I enjoy getting older, especially when I consider the alternative.
