Bonjour from Montreal
Posted by Anonymous on Monday, November 24, 2003 10:02 PM
Hello All!

My name is Patrick and I'm just back into model-building after a (too) long hiatus. But I have however kept somewhat current about the state of the hobby through the pages of FSM and other publications.

I suffer (like many others, I'm sure) from modelling schizophrenia, i.e. I run in every directions when it comes to subjects, and I have the box full of unbuilt kits to prove it!

I'm interested mostly in race cars, military planes and armour, but who knows, maybe I'll give ships or Sci-Fi kits a go in the future!

Nice to see that online info (and help!) is available online, and rest assured that I will ask many questions in the future.

It's good to be here!

Welcome to the asylum, I think we have all suffered from modelling schizophrenia at some time.

Enjoy yourself.

Bonjour:
What part of Montreal are you in?
I live out in Hudson and go to Hobby Junction on Cardinal near Dorval and Ted's Hobbies in the shopping centre on St. John's Road (AKA BLVD St Jean )near the 20.
There is also a new shop on Cote Vertu near the Future Shop next, actualy attached to, Multimags - buy kits and FSM at the same time.
Welcome aboard.

I'm from the South shore (Saint-Hubert to be precise), and I mostly go to the new place in Brossard (on Tashereau), they have a lots of good stuff.

I also go to Udisco on Decarie (near Queen Mary). That place most be the biggest hobbyshop for hundred of miles! As a matter of fact, I was there just this morning. So many kits, so few lives!!!

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

Welcome aboard, Pat. I grew up in Montreal, in Westmount. There used to be a good hobby store on Victoria Bl named Westmount Hobby Shop. Probably long gone now. I've been living in Southern California since 1959, and this is Hobby Shop Heaven. Enjoy the site; there are lots of great modeling categores here.
