Grounded for Life
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 1:46 AM
I have crashed my last aircraft!!!! I completed my last R/C tranaction on ebay a couple of months ago. Now I plan on concentrating all my building efforts on non-flying models. As you may have probably guessed, green as a cucumber. But I am looking forward to learning a new hobby and meeting new friends. Hello from Albuquerque NM.

Welcome
Questions are good. If it hasn't already been asked( search the forums, there is a lot of stuff here), it probably needs to be. You're probably not the only one who's curious, you're just the one with the courage to ask. R/C is a frequent topic. Even without active participation you can still offer advice. Last I saw they where doing some R/C tanks on the armor forum.

Welcome to the forums, aogas! Don't worry about beeing green, you'll be talking about primer, washes and god-knows what else in no time! A word of warning, though: Modelng can be very addictive, so watch your budget (there are forum members who seem to buy kits for collecting rather than building! Tongue [:P]) As for questions, ask away and we'll be happy to help you if we can! Smile [:)]

Hello Aogas! and Welcome Aboard! Sign - Welcome [#welcome]
While this hobby is quite addictive and can be somewhat harsh on the budget if your not careful from one RC person to another.....its not nearly as bad. My RC addiction is cars, though I did have a chance to fly an airplane for a few seconds once.....never tried the landing or take off....

Great to have you with us aogas. We don't mind at all if your green as long as its OD. As far a modeling budget goes, if you spend enough time on the forum you wont need one.

Welcome aboard and start building. You aren't the only one that has crashed a flying model. I have destroyed quite a few in my younger days.
