Just remember Adam that once the modelling bug has bitten you there is no cure and the only treatment is to build models.

Welcome aboard, Adam. One of my frustrations is building a wooden ship kit, so I hope you do build one and post photos here.

God, i loved the dukes of hazzard! I can just imagine being a kid and building the general, a "TV star" (I can't remember the names of the charcters anymore, but i'll always remember the general!)... It's good to hear that you've picked the hobby up again. Show us some of your old projcets and i'll see you around the forums, then! Smile [:)]

Howdy, Adam!
Welcome to FSM.
New England, eh? Ma and Pa are from Fall River, but I was born in Florida and raised everywhere else. Ended up in Japan!

The General Lee? The big AMT 1/18 (or 1/16? Can't remember!) kit? Ah, I remember it well!
Have fun in the forums, Adam.

Well, hello all!!

Hey everyone,
Like a few others I am returning to the hobby after a several year hiatus.

About me? Well.. I am 32, live in NH and originally started modeling when I was about 7 or so, I even remember my first model. The General Lee (Yee haw!) ;)

Anyway, did that for many years and eventually went to work for a hobby store in the area (For anyone from New England, it was Eric Fuch's Hobbies), where my hobby grew exponentially. Unfortunatly life had other plans for a bit and the hobby had to be put down. I have however found it again and am getting back into it with a passion. I don't particularly have a favorite class or genre, will build just about anything if it is interesting enough. Am actually considering giving a wooden ship a shot.

Well, I have babble on enough, you guys take care and I look forward to being in the mix

Enjoy!
Adam
