Introducing myself
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, December 12, 2003 7:34 PM
Hi, I'm Kent White. I stayed away from modeling for about 20 years, but except for that, I've been doing terrible things to plastic and balsa wood since I was 6 years old.

I'm getting set up to make some short run kits in vacuform and resin, and will probably work up to making some photoetch detail sets. I'm also unemployed, and enrolled in tech school while I'm trying to find a good job. I would welcome any suggestions on what kits to make, though I'm planning to start with small scale aircraft.

I'm a fairly proficient writer, as well as a fair model builder. If anyone from FSM reads this, I'd be quite willing to submit articles or review kits. My email for contact is kent@cerakko.com

Thanks, and I'll be in from time to time.

Kent White

Well, thanks to everyone for the very warm welcome. Anyone who wants to suggest any projects for me to attempt, feel free to email me with your ideas. I hadn't really thought much about doing conversion kits, more along the lines of complete kits. One that I want to do for myself is a 1/72 U-2 with the parts included to convert it to different versions (such as the 2 seater U-2TR trainer). The 2-seater A-10 sounds cool, also.

My email is: kent@cerakko.com

Welcome to the forum, Kent. I like your perspective - if the big companies don't produce the kit, make it yourself ! Good luck, have fun, and enjoy this great site.
