New modeler with a Question about an Old one
Posted by DrCemento on Tuesday, January 6, 2004 10:14 AM

Hello everyone I've been modeling on and off since I can remember. When I was a kid I hade FSM and recently came across my old stash and found the article that always gto my stoked to build FSM portfolio, November 1990 on Bob Steinbrunn - those few models still go unsurpassed in my mind..... The Question - Is there like a photo compilation of his stuff anywhere? Internet searches have his name everywhere but only little bits and peices! I saw that cabinet behind him! Anybody in the know abotu this?

What is it you like to build?? I see you're one of the many lurkers here on the forums! Good of you to speak up, jbatesc6! In anycase, congratz on your first post, and i look forward to many more! Lurker? I signed up with FSM online like a year ago when I still had dial up this is my first use of my pass- word. not surprisingly I love WW-II aircraft with occasional wanderings in old 1/35 heli's. like so many I have a bis shelf full of unfiinished models and finally have a little time to try and get one online (although revells 1/48 marauder is catching my fancy )

So, this is your first actual use of your FSM account? A lurker is someone that signs up to forums and is happy enough to just read the posts (nothing wrong with that, mind you)... it's just nice to hear different perspecitves on things...

Oooo! Another WWII buff! You've come to the right place! there are quite a number of us stuck in the '30s and '40s! if you like this sort of thing, look for swanny... he has a fantastic website about his many builds! He's even doing a 1/48 B-26 as we speak! Smile [:)]

Swanny - how do you get to his site - I'm always interested in good picks and I'd be very curiouse to hear his opinion on the basic kit - from the sound of it it may be a major undertaking

Welcome to FSM jbatesc6. Good to have you join us here.

Can't really help with your question about Mr. Stienbrunn. But as for Swanny, if you check out the A/C forum, you're bound to run across one of his posts. His website is in his sigtag.

Enjoy the forums !!!!
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

1991 is when my collection fo FSM ends as well. I just started getting it again and seen a lot of new faces, but the same great quality of models and tips. Welcome to this site, I'm new here also.
