Hi Guys, This is a great site

Cruised in and joined after reading so many good tips and some great discussion. I like to work on 1:48 scale aircraft and just got my first airbrush for x-mass, a VL paasche W/500D compressor. Right now I'm in the finishing process of an F-106 Delta Dart. I Have read much discussion on airbrushes and I assure you all I will post my outcome of it's useage and performance. I'll be looking forward to comming back and keeping in touch with "fellow modelers". Happy 2004 to ALL !

Thanks for the warm welcome folks. Much appreciated. To Shrikes: Yes the F-106 is metalic in color. I just don't like that (out of the box look), too much shine. I'll be using a flat metalic, glossy black and flat black. I'll be jumping over to the other message boards cause I'm gonna need some Q&A on thinning and so forth. Again, thanks for the welcome.......didn't just want to leave you guys hanging without a reply.

Welcome , Mike
I used to see the Darts lined up at Langley AFB in the very early 70's and thought they were such sleek jets.

Ya Dan, I was weapons mechanic (loader) at Griffiss AFB (49th FIS) up state N.Y. Loaded the Aim 7's and Genie nuke rocket. They were (at the time) the ultimate first line of defence for our country. If your really into F-106's go to "Pat's world F-106." Don't know the exact address but if you "google" it , it will come up. Tremendous site. Pictures of all squadron units. Pics of models too. There is also pictures of an actual working "mini F-106" model "that flys", It would blow your mind. It's like 40 inches long or so.
