Hello there...

I too take keen interest in rc aircraft.. but have'nt gone beyond the high wing trainer types... cos I dont have the financial back up for building an R/c aircraft...hahaha!! It takes months for a student to even buy a four channel radio... Anyway welcome back to this great hobby and hope you can share your knowledge with the rest of us here... The guys here are very helpful and will only be glad to reply as soon as possible.....

Cheers,
Nandakumar

Hi, my name is Don, I've just recently joined the forum and I really like what I've seen so far. My dad got me hooked on modeling when I was a kid, a long time ago. Over the past 10 years or so I haven't built many "plastic" models since I started building radio controlled aircraft in the early 90's. Those projects can really occupy your work bench for a long time. Also, balsa dust and airbrushing...not a good combination. Eventhough I haven't built much plastic lately I have, however, kept up with the journals, FSM since '84, IPMS, etc. and I joined a local club. From the looks of my closet, I'd better start building again. I think my kits are like rabbits, when the lights go out they've been multiplying. When I do get the plastic off a box it's 1/48 scale aircraft from golden age to modern, with a majority in the WWII era so far. I love the variety of subject matter. If its got wings...I'll build it. What I really enjoy is the relaxation the hobby provides, commraderie with fellow modelers, sharing techniques and admirering others finished projects. It's just plane fun. As I get going again I really want to improve my weathering skills. I admire those of you out there that have mastered this fine art. I always try to learn from each project but if I mess up...well there's another kit in the closet just waiting for some glue. I think I hear that P-38 calling my name or is it that Accurate Miniatures P-51A, decisions decisions. Happy modeling and have fun. Don
