Hello!!!!!

Tongue [:P]Hi all!Tongue [:P]

Name is Sean, from Alice Springs, Central Australia, the largest beach in the world.

After a 15 year break from modelling, a/c mostly, it's nice to get back into it, and even nicer to have a web site to visit and find out heaps of info.

Mind you, after 15 years, the amount of new (well new to me anyways) products on the shelves is astounding, almost went bankrupt replenishing my gear (won't go into what the missus said!!!!!!).

Um, just a quick question, could someone please tell me how you get a picture to show up as your signature? I like the idea of having your favourite model showing everytime you post a message.

Well thanks all, back to some painting!!!!!Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]Big Smile [:D]

Welcome to the forum, Tweety1 !
When you're logged in, click on the "update profile" located in the gray bar near the top of the page. In the box for "signature," type in the complete URL for your pic. The pic must be hosted on the web somewhere in order to do this. If you don't have a host, you can upload the pic on RonUSMC's website. He's a very helpful guy. You can find instructions under the "General Modeling" headline. Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy the site !

Hi Tweety1!
Watch out, this place is addictive...I find myself doing more checking out than model building. There is great information around here.

Well atm I'm using Alclad 2 for the first time on a P-38J, good stuff, but painting etc here is a bit of a mission, cause it's so dry, your paint is almost dry within 1cm of leaving the airbrush nozel, as for the Alclad, I'm getting hairline cracks in the finish as the plastic heats and cools. 44 degrees during the day, and 18 degrees at night, Centigrade that is, only reason I can find for this happening.

Since July, I've built an A-10 Warthog 1/48, BV 141 V2 1/48, A6M5 Zero 1/48, Mi 24 Hind Type a 1/72, and now the P-38j, next is a Panther Type G.

As for the 'Springs' part, we used to have one, but it has long since dried up.

Just remembered, built a B-29 from Monogram back in March '02, a present from an American friend of mine, actually, more of a practical joke, monstrousity that it is.
Now has pride of place in the laundry cupboard.
Damn thing WAAAAAY to big to put anywhere else!!!!!
