Hello from a new guy
Posted by Dice on Friday, January 16, 2004 10:59 AM
Hi everyone just thought I would stop in and see what the site was all about. A little about myself, I’m 45 years old and have served in the USAF for the past 23 years. I’ve worked the F-5E, F-4E/G, OV-10, and for the past 13 years the A-10 Thunderbolt II "Warthog".

I was an avid modeler for about 10 years but almost most five years ago my youngest daughter was born and my modeling room turned into her room. I’ve done a couple of models in the past few years but not much. I have a half-finished 1/48 Hassagawa F-4G and a 1/48 A-10, also half –finished, in my basement now I would like to finish.

For the past few years I’ve been into PC flight sims, but I may lurk here for a while and try to catch-up on the modeling hobby. Hope you don’t mind an old crew dawg hanging around a bit trying to learn a little something on you forums.

BTW- I do have a website on the A-10 if you would like to take a look...

Actually, we would be offended if you DIDN'T hang around here. Welcome to the forum family, Dice.
Hope you enjoy your stay. Feel free to look around and make some posts. BTW, I enjoyed your web site--pretty cool!

I have a lot but my top three are Falcon4, Strike Fighters P1, and LOMAC which I helped with the development of. LOMAC has a few problems at the monent (with some uses) but I love the A-10 and because I did help with the sim it's close to my heart!

We have another member who works on Warthogs as well, 72cuda. Look up a couple of his posts, maybe you know him in real life even.

Hey Dice Sign - Welcome [#welcome]

I couldn't get into that sight at the moment, but will try again later. I would like to talk to you about the OV-10 sometime. I'm about to start the D model for a USMC group build. (I would like to build the USAF version as well!) Big Smile [:D]

cassibill, I'm doing a "walk-around" page now showing the external changes to the Hog in the past 20+ years and it should be up by the end of the week or the begining of next.

AJACKETSFAN, my site should be back up now and anytime you want to talk OV's I'm ready. I must warn you I only worked them for a year so my knowladge is limited but I will help where I can.

maddafinga, thanks for the info I will look him up and see if our paths have ever crossed.

Howdy folks,

My name is Jeremy Connell, and I have been professionally modeling now for about 6 months. I just renewed my subscription to Fine Scale Modeler and thought I would check out the website. I spent some time in the Army , and I am currently in the Naval Reserve in Albuquerque, NM. I just got my website up and running too. Take a look and tell me what you think.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Tidying up this morning. I've moved this thread to the "Welcome--Introduce Yourself" area, where it seems to fit better.
