Welcome BSquires.....pretty soon you'll find yourself making a couple trips a day to your LHS to pick up a new tool, or paint bottle!!! Check out some of the tips and techniques threads and you'll find ways to make great tools out of everyday household items!!! Good Luck, and happy modeling!!

Welcome to the forum BSquires. Gip pretty much nailed it down, just start with the essentials and the rest will just fall into your tool box.

Welcome aboard, BSquires!

Are you looking to buy online or just general modeling tool suggestions?

Welcome to the family, bsquires! Basically (very), tools should include an X-acto knife with a supply of #11 blades, something to cut the parts from sprue tree (I started out using fingernail trimmers, but a small diagonal cutter will work fine), some sandpaper or sanding sticks (various grits), glue (both liquid cement and superglue), a small brush to apply the liquid cement, maybe a little putty, a few toothpicks, a pair of forceps, and some paint and paint brushes. Quite honestly, your building habits, kit types, approach to building, and experience will begin to dictate what tools and supplies you need and want. As you gain experience, more and more will become readily apparent. If you have specific questions, sing out... We're here to help!
