Thanks for the warm welcome team.

Just got back from the model shop with six new 1/72 kits (my first stashBig Smile) ranging in price from $10 to $15, just ideal for a bit of practice painting flying things.

Time to hit the computer and the library for a bit of research.

and I also picked up the Hasegawa F-4S Phantom II Propeller

Rough as guts,

G'day mate!

Cheers to finding the site and deciding to join up. Trust me a rough on the edges modeler who strives for perfection will fit right in with the rest of us.

Some have the theory that quantity is its own quality, eventually there will be modest improvement. I try and get the most out of every injected molded sprue of plastic, its not very productive and it bothers me when there was a item or two that could have been improved. Somewhere there is a balance between the two I have not found...

Welcomke aboard. And it will deffinatly be nice to have another 72nd aircrfat builder on here. Most seemt o go for 48th. And i would deffinatly recomend a GB. I have learnt alot from joining those. But be warned. Since i started coming on the site properly early in 08, i have only built for GB's. Can be a bit addictive.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Rough as guts

My two vices - I'm rough as guts

                        - I a perfectionist

G'day, there's other Kiwi's round (scorpiomikey for one) so its proof we dont hold that against you Wink.

As for your two vices being an aussie I can be ham fisted and as an artist I'm always my own worst critic so I can sympathise with you.

Wow, cool site. Been browsing through last few days and have been blown away with your talent and skills Cool

Bumped into this site while dreamin drooling shopping for a new project.  Our local model shop closed up for the last time at ChristmasCrying so now it,s a 2 1/2 hour drive to the next closest one or start this shop on line business.

I dont have much spare time unfortunately, but when I get the odd chance I bash away at 1/35 military stuff.

My two vices - I'm rough as guts

                        - I a perfectionist

Hence no finished work to displayEmbarrassed

I have a young son who ends up with anything I'm not quite happy with, and he has a remarkable ability to dismantle a 200 piece kit into 300 pieces lol

So far, from what I've seen here, I've been really inspired to join a group build and actually get something finished (and displayed)

Also have a sudden desire to step away from the M.V's and whack together some aircraft. I'm thinking 1/72,

-cheaper, -less display space, -less detail so quicker build time.

Cheers team, seasons greetings and good luck putting up with me.LOL
