It's good to hear that you can't keep a good man down! You're not alone in your spelling woes... my spelling scores in 4th grade were the lowest in my class and until last year, i kept forgetting the correct spelling of "their"... Wink [;)] Oh, and welcome to the forums!

Sounds like everyone else had given you all the correct "poop" on what to get, so I'll just wish you a hearty "Welcome" to our little forum family. Enjoy your stay!

Sign - Welcome [#welcome] gdarwin,
The only liquid masking I know of is Micro scale's and the bottle I have is so old that I couldn't tell you where I got it. Like Pixilater said it dries clear which makes it hard to see.
Trevor Where am I going and why am I in this handbasket?

Hi ya gdarwin ...

Welcome to the FSM Community ... it is good to hear that you are hanging in there with the hobby ... I would agree with Pixilater regarding the tools available thru Micro-Mark they are a first rate company with first rate tools ... check 'em out and good luck with your projects !!! Welcome to the forum, Roy. Once a modeler, always a modeler.
A company called "Micro Mark" may have some tools that can hold parts with alligator clips. I have seen them advertised before, they're telescoping boom arms with an alligator clip at the end.
The only mask I've used is Micro Scale's "Liquid Mask." It goes on with a brush, but it dries almost clear, sometimes making it difficult to see.
Hope this helps.
Have fun & enjoy the forum !

Welcome to FSM Roy. Good to have you join us here.

I know that there are some vises that would probably help quite a bit on the market. The "helping hand" is one that immediately comes to mind. Not too sure about masks though.

Enjoy the forums !!!

Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert

Welcome to the forum. Nowadays theres lots of one handed vices and clamps out there. There is a liquid mask out there depending on how closeand large your local hobby store is you may have to go to one of the many hobby outlets on line to find it. Wish you the best on your builds.
