New to FSM but not to modeling.

Just thought I would say hello to all. My story is probably similar to many of them out there. My Father got me interested when I was a kid of about 8. 1/48th scale WW2 aircraft. Still do build the occaisional aircraft but now mostly do Armor. I did have a temporary lay off in building when the ex wife told me I couldn't build them anymore. Since I am now divorced and now own my own house, my stock in Tamiya models has gone up and the staff at the local Hobbytown know me on a first name basis. So hello to all of you. I look forward to milking knowledge off of all of you as well as hopefully giving a little out.

Welcome to the forums, Rich! It's a shame that you don't go for planes anymore, but tanks are always interesting subjects! (they get nice and dirty too!) Smile [:)]

Actually I haven't completely gotten away from planes, I do still build them, Currently I have a Spitfire and a P40B sitting on my shelf. Both models were Revell/Monograhms. The P40B was a good one but the Spitfire was a Putty lovers dream. I had to use more putty on it than I have ever had to use before on models. Nothing mated very well and the plastic was actually warpped in some cases. It was really a test for me to get it looking as good as I did. I also have a half completed F4U Corsair by Acadamy just begging to be finished. So I havently completely forgotten What got me started. My Father is also Ex Air Force so he will never let the Army get the better of my model shelfs,
