My name is Roger, I'm a Stevie Ray Vaughan fan, and I'm from Kansas and new to the forum. I could just copy and paste some of the other intros here. I'm amazed at how many have the same story,"Returned to modeling after x amount of years" Same story here. Last model I built was a funny car when I was 16. That was 36 years ago.
My supervisor is a master modeler, and we talk models on occasion, and I finally wanted to build again. I just completed a PM 1/72 AT-11 due to my neighbor that was a flight chief on them at Victorville Army Air Force Base in Victorville, CA from 1942-1945. And I must say, I learned a lot from this build! Like, DRY FIT!!!! LOL But man.....what fun! I've really missed it.
I've picked up a single action Paasche H series air brush, a good mix of Testors,Model Masters, and Humbrol enamels, a desk for a work station, and various other supplies including a good selection of kits. I've also subscribed to FSM and signed up here. I can't believe how much information is available for modelers now. It's really cool, and looks like a lot of good people here that are willing to help.
So, although I could ramble on for a while, I suppose that's it for now. I'm looking forward to participating in the forums, and any advice or comments would be appreciated.
Sincerely,
Roger Perdue
