Fighting Zombies since 2001...
Hey Tyler, remember not to post unless Mum or Me are with you... and remember to rinse the Airbrush after you use it....
Hey Dad i won't forget
Welcome. You're starting at about the same age I started. This is a hobby you can carry with you for your entire life. This hobby will encourage you to read and research and expand your knowledge.
Try to be neat and organized. Most importantly, have fun with this.

Welcome Tyler,
Nice to see young people get interested in this hobby.
Be sure to post pictures of your plane when you are done. A lot of people here will like to see it.

Howdy Tyler
Welcome to the forums and to the nice hobby of plastic model building.
Thank's all for welcoming me, my Stuka should be finished soon...
Great! How about teasing the rest of us with some details? What model JU-87 is it? What color scheme will you apply? Is Dad getting in the way or is he backing off and letting you do your best? Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Haha i'm kinda getting in the way...The Stuka wasn't my choice for his first build..This year i'll be doing a 1/48 Hasegawa Stuka with an Aires engine set and Eduard PE set, i bought the Airfix 1/48 Stuka for it's North African decals, when Tyler asked what i was doing with the rest of the Airfix kit i said nothing and he asked if he could build it....
Being a reissued old molding i'm removing the parts from the sprues and cleaning up the flash so he doesn't cut himself with the no11 and i'm also mixing the paint for the airbrush, other than that i'm just showing him the basic gap and seam filling skills and letting him go for it...When it comes to masking the canopy we will both do that so i can teach him how to mask with BMF....
With his next build, a Tamiya P-51D i'll watch and advise but i won't touch...
here he is painting on the blue
Tyler's a lucky young man. I didn't get an airbrush until I was 60 years old! Its tough to back off. What a great activity for father and son to share.
It's really fun building models..The airbrush is the best bit..
to the forum! It would be great if you can tell us all of your dad's secret tips how to build great tips one day. Looking forward to see your Stuka. I am really into armors and figures but I promised myself Stuka will be my first plane to build... always loved its wings.
Andy
Haha no secrets Andy.... BTW the hasegawa Stuka is the pick of the bunch in 1/48scale, not sure about 1/32, i never build that scale...
