So, I've been at this hobby for a time now, but never got around to joining any forums. But, from what I've seen, FSM has the one most active forums out there. So I joined.

My name is Jonathan and I am about 7 years into the hobby. I started out with 72nd scale Luftwaffe, then I moved to kit-bashing and scratch-building Star Wars customs (which is my main focus). I have a large collection of Star Wars toys from a particular line that went dead in 2000....so it's my goal to recreate the toy line as something half-way between models and toys, e.g., they look good and are quite breakable, but they can be held and feature moving parts. I do have a website that I'll get added to my profile soon that has my stuff, my collection, and everything small-scale Star Wars you could ever want. These days, I'm also branching out to 72nd and 35th scale armor.

Yes, I know, an amalgam of interests. When I start building a Luftwaffe AA-support AT-AT in ambush camo, then you can worry.

I'll be upfront in that I've never been a perfectionist for historical accuracy. I'm all about making something that looks cool and is fun to build (which is where most of us sit to some degree). Accuracy is nice, and I enjoy "knowing" it, but I opt for interesting any day. So yeah, don't burst my bubble because the inside of it is standard white instead of ivory over red oxide. But, you can certainly laugh if I put metallic paint chips on a wooden object (which I did once by accident...and they were some nice paint chips too). Big Smile

Action Fleet Unlimited: Star Wars models, customs, toys, techniques, and scale lists (with a few non-SW models thrown in)

Cheers
