Hello forum
Posted by HisNHer Tanks on Sunday, May 29, 2011 7:34 AM

Just saying hi here first, as it is rude to just walk into a place and not introduce oneself properly first.

About me, just another person that enjoys models I suppose.

Chose the Tamiya SAS jeep for my avatar as it is likely my best kit (well best that I have to date).

He is not very sociable, it will usually be me here (her/she for purposes of conversation). We both like models equally though.

Been making models for years, but have mostly converted over from 35th scale stuff, as the newer stuff is just so much nicer to make. Seen a lot of my collection go out the door in favour of new purchases.

Big fan of Tamiya over the years, I have almost bought their entire 48th scale range. Not sure what I am going to do when I run out. Likely get the current ones finished :) I am very bad at not finishing off the last part, such a hassle to get out the airbrush. More fun gluing parts together.

I like planes and ships, but they eat up a lot of shelf space. Again, something of a Tamiya fanatic.

Might have thought a girl making models was 'peculiar' but recently discovered the girl that works at my local hobby shop was making a Tamiya Lancaster bomber. Wow! cool eh. Doing a nice job too. I'm 50 and she's 55.

Ok time to stop the chattering.

Welcome to the madhouse. Feeding times are irregular, but the natives are friendly (well, MOSTLY friendly).

Just booting her off so I can say thanks for everyone welcoming her (and me too). I don't post much, because she says I tend to be offensive. Likely is right.

Try to go easy on her, she gets too worked up when someone says something nasty to her. I can't stand her whining.

Welcome to our little slice of the universe. Boy it's going to be confusing talking to you two, kinda like..."I am not schizophrenic, and neither am I". Post some pictures of your builds and have fun...we are a silly lot, but we do have some good advice to offer on building.

Howdy and welcome, I'm a little late on this post so please forgive my tardiness. A couple is unusual but I for one think it’s neat. Mt wife spoils me and lets me model. She does appreciate my work nut unfortunately doesn't share the building interest. However, my sons do and the one still home he and I are building 1/1400 scale Star Trek Enterprise-C's together. Comments here are friendly and helpful. Again welcome, Magoo
