Greetings from Nor-Cal
Posted by Jeff_G on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 3:27 PM

Howdy folks!

Same as almost everyone, I started modeling again after a long break.  I forgot how much I love this hobby!  I'm interested in working my way through historic Soviet aircraft in 1/72 scale, which should keep me busy for a while.

Currently working on an IL-2 Sturmovic from Eduard (weekend build series).  Boy, does that kit have some fitment issues!  Or maybe it's me...  Probably it's me.  Loose nut behind the wheel, as my friends would say.

I've been impressed with the quality of work shown on the reader forums.  Very inspirational!

Hi Mike.  I'm just up the 101 in Rohnert Park (the friendly city!) in Sonoma county.  I work in downtown SF most days and I grew up in Martinez, over in the East Bay.

I take the bus to work, so I get to go over the Golden Gate Bridge twice every day.  I've been doing that commute for years and it still puts a smile on my face every time, seeing that bridge come into view from Doyle Drive.  I feel like I really lucked out getting to live here.

Cheers,

Jeff

Jeff;

Your up there with Pacific Coast Models. They specialize in Italian based model subjects. I've been out here from the east Coast for over 25 years, this is home now. I am only 10 miles from home to office.
