Hi from NW Arkansas

Hello all,

My name is David and I have been a modeler for many years although I haven't actually built anything in the past five or six years. I am back now and working on a Tamiya MB Jeep kit that I have had for many years.

Last time I checked I had over 40 unbuilt kits, mostly aircraft F-8's and F-4's, and F-15's. I have several that I started working on a plan to build at least one of every aircraft I worked on while in service.

My interests are aircraft, armor, and cars.

I used to be a regular purchaser of FSM and am looking forward to subscrubing. Happy times to ya'!

Thanks, I had to go digging around for more models today after I bought some paint. I am on a budget so I had to scare up another armor kit for the OD spray paint. Waste not-want not, eh? I need to check my compressor later on but I am so close to finishing the jeep that I don't want to mess with it and be disappointed if it doesn't work.

Thanks again for the welcome

Welcome to the madhouse. Feeding times are irregular, but the natives are friendly (well, MOSTLY friendly). Any resemblance between reality and my private views is largely non-deterministic. The question of the existence of views in the absence of anyone to hold them is left as an exercise for the reader.

Occasional factual, grammatical, or spelling variations are inherent to this thesis and should not be considered as defects, as they enhance the individuality and character of this document.

Howdy and welcome. A word to the wise, you can never have too many kits. Magfoo

Thanks for the welcome. Funny, I have never said that about kits. Hmm, but you are right of course. I dread to even think it, but I may have "lost" some kits. I am, shall we say, concerned right now but ready to go into full panic mode if required. Among the missing are all my F4's and several F8's, some which were WIP and that I have special decals for.

Welcome David! YOu will find that any question that you ask will be answered and that you will get more tips than you know what to do with. We are a friendly bunch but we can get a little rowdy at times.

Thanks, man. I plan to take some pics as soon as I get my area cleaned up a bit. I am almost done with my first figure, other than half a pilot, and I think he's pretty good...not bad for a trial run anyways.

I have always been envious of FSM'rs attention to detail but I've not had the patience to try to achieve a higher level of competence until recently. Oh, I am pretty good but some of you guys, whew!
