                        I'll do that, thank you for the suggestion.  Right about now I'm looking into either building a Dark Star model or trying to find a affordable CB-1 CB-2 Model  CB-2 being the prefered.  Just havent heard back from the Guy who makes the Dark Star on how to pay him or Googled who might sell the ships im after

                        There was a model show last April unfortunately I had to catch flight back home on same day the show was held in Venice.  Check IMPS website... it lists all model shows by states.  Maybe it is a good way to learn more about local clubs.

                        If there is I dont know about it :(  There is a club in bradenton and in Port Charlotte but I cant seem to get in contact with either of them.

                        Welcome Sign to the forum!  My parents live in northern part of Venice pratcially your neighbor if you are talking about Sarasota, Florida.  I stopped by a local model shop in Venice but was disappointed there was small section of models as they were into R/C stuff.  Is there a good shop you can recommend next time I come to Venice/Sarasota?

                        A bit about myself:  Retired military 42 Lots of free time on my hands J  Not a drinker or a smoker open minded and accepting of all persons without exception.  Preferring   Naval ships and Science fiction/fantasy related models,  At best you might call me a Novice builder, but I appreciate and enjoy looking at the efforts of others even if I lack the skill to successfully imitate their projects.  A quick check for local clubs makes it seem as if the two near me are dormant as the contact information is no longer valid.
