Welcome to the forum family, Manuel! Great bunch of folks here. Have you tried e-bay yet for a compressor?

Hey! Another Filipino modeler! Geez, it must be our week... it seemed that for a few months all the new people were from Australia, now it may be the turn of the Filipinos... Allan, just how many of us are there here? Smile [:)]

Like allan, i've been to Cebu a few times and i could do with a visit to Sutukil (this really great restaurant) too!

I have a friend that uses a generic sort of compressor he bought at a hardware store... about Php3,500-4,000. It has only one pressure setting (controlled by the on/off switch Tongue [:P])! What sort of airbrush do you have?

Oh, and welcome to the forums, Manuel! Smile [:)]

He didn't say where he got the compressor, but he assured me that most good hardware supply stores would have them. Just ask around! Also, if you have an ACE hardware store there (owned by SM) they should have a cheap one. Smile [:)]

Delta,
Im not sure where you can get second hand stuff in Metro Cebu, but in Sta. Cruz you could get good deals. Unfortunately, any savings you may realize will be withered away by the cost of shipping (or your transportation expenses if you decide to come over) from Sta. Cruz to your place. Shrikes is right, you could check out the local ACE hardware.

May I suggest you look around for a used oxgyen tank over there and periodically fill it up with, err, air. That is a good alternative source of air, and you would hardly need any moisture traps. Smile [:)]

As for the F-8H, yes, its one of my favorite PAF planes (well, there isnt that much to begin with Tongue [:P]). Come to think of it, its the largest fighter the PAF ever had.

Shrikes,
Pre, Ive lost count. Must be about a dozen or so. Approve [^]

Man, now you're getting me hungry! The last time i was in cebu, i gorged on countless lobster tails... it must be a sin (either that or genocide)! When i first heard of that place, i said "What?? Shoot-to-kil?!?" hehehe... Just FYI, Sutukil is a contraction of the different ways cebuanos perpare food: SUgba, TUwa and KILaw. My favorite is Kinilaw because it's almost filipino sushi! Dinner [dinner] YUM!!!

Deltadagger, you are really lucky to live there! Big Smile [:D]

Hello Manuel, Welcome to the forum. I think ebay may be your best bet for a cheap compressor. Good luck in your search.
