Howdy and welcome, glad to see your son has an interest in the hobby. It seems that most young people these days don't know anything about modeling or are too involved with other things. Again welcome, Magoo

here's an SVO I put together a few years ago.

i'm alright at 2 and even 3 stage paints on car bodies with a rattle can but an airbrush is still foreign to me.

Welcome to endless wonder and friendly arguments without end. Feeding times are irregular, but the natives are friendly (well, MOSTLY friendly).

Hey All

I've been trolling around a few weeks and thought it would be prudent to join up since everyone here seems very friendly and helpful.

In my youth I was an avid builder of model cars.  (The hobby went to the wayside for the priorities of adult-hood.)  Thought I was decent at it until recently viewing some works of art on this site.  There is some really nice pieces of work here.  But the reality is I'm a tech guy and not an artist.

My son has recently come to the age of model building and to my delight has taken well to the hobby.  So now we can both enjoy building our own models.

Below is a pic of an A10 Warthog from Revell we currently have on the bench.  This is my first airplane.  It has been a bit of a learning experience, in hind-sight making me wish I had found some literature on building planes before take-off.  (Definitely be hitting the books before starting other projects.)

Getting back into the hobby I binged a little on WW2 planes.  These are the next projects (all Revell):

B25J Mitchell

B29 Superfortress

B24D Liberator

B17G Flying Fortress

Cheers Everyone!
