TomZ2

Nobody gets to see the WIZARD! Not nobody! Not no how! … Oops! Wrong greeting! Never mind … Post lots and lots of pictures … We’re all barmy.

Barmy adj. barm·i·er, barm·i·est. 1. Full of barm; foamy 2. Eccentric; daft 3. FSM member

That makes TomZ2 the "barmi-est"...( I don`t know what the heck he`s talkin` about most of the time)....Wink

Welcome to the group...as was stated earlier there is a group build that is going on that is for your chosen subject. Group builds are a good way to better your skills and meet some interesting folks.

Again...welcome

OK to be politically correct I guess I should say Hinomaru Fan.  I've been browsing here for awhile just never introduced myself.

I'm a graduate PhD student (Ancient History), my 'side' interest is the Pacific War, as such my stash has about 153 (last count) kits of Japanese stuff.  1/72, 1/48, 1/32, 1/24 everything from the old 1/72 Hasegawa G8N1 &Revell Ki-21 Sally, 4 Revell 1/32 kits up to Trumpeter 1/24 A6M's.

I'm not an FSM subscriber as I prefer to help keep my local bookstore in business.

My most difficult decision is usually which kit to build next.  I really like some of the Japanese prototype kits available Ki-106, Ki-94, Q1W1, J7W2, N1K1 (contra rotating props), etc.

On the bench:

Hasegawa 1/72 N1K1 prototype

Hasegawa 1/48 Ki-61

Eduard 1/48 F6F-3 of VF-2 (for a friend whose grandfather flew with VF-2 on the Hornet in the Battle of the Phillipine Sea, 1944)

Builds this year:  Ki-45, A6M3, Ki-84, Ki-43, Ki-51 (Blue), Ki-100, F1M2, N1K1 Rex, Ki-27

HAPPY modeling everyone Big Smile
