Different folks, different needs. I've used clear tabs sold at Office Max to make windows. Also, my LHS has clear styrene available. I used clear-green tabs from OM on my A1-M2 Abrams windows.

I'm building the same ship and used clear plastic sleeves that are for putting things in for a notebook to make the windows. It looks just like glass from the outside and saves a significant amount of time versus having toi fill each window and then waiting a day or more for the micro clear to dry.

Was a Loadmaster on the C-141s out of Norton AFB, California.  We flew re-supply and did Alice Springs turn-arounds for the Satellite Tracking folks.  Loved it.

Just visiting a friend.  The family lived in Wealdston Harrow, near London.  Had a great time.  That was 1966, a few years ago.

Cheers Tom, hopefully your local shop will have it in stock. I actually used to work in Windsor (right next to Richmond) but that was in the late 90's. Used to get overflown by C-130's and C-141's on approach (about 15-20 secs from touchdown) while walking to work from the railway station. Big Smile

No worries tom. I assume you were based here with the USAF, or did you just pass through. I live in East Anglia, an area of the country that used to be full of US air bases. Even when i was growing up in the 70's they were every where.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Thanks for the reply.  I'm in Central Oregon, USA.  I was just telling Phil H that I used to fly into Austrlia in the 70's.  Haven't been in England since 66. Loved it and will be going back next summer on the way to the continent to visit old friends.

Thanks Phil.  Appreciate the lead and remember seeing it the last time I was in the hobby shop in Portland.

Will be going there on Monday so will pick some up.  Great to hear from someone down under.  Used to fly into Richmond with the USAF back in the 70's.  Great country and wonderful people.  Thanks again.

Hi, and welcome aboard.

I take it you mean Micro Kristal Kleer by Microscale. I use it for glueing canopies but it says it can also be used for small windows. This no image on this link, but it gives you some details

Not sure where in the world you are, but if your in the USA, i am sure someone can help with that.

This is what you are looking for: http://www.microscale.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=MI-9

It should be readily available from most hobby shops.

Testors has a similar product http://www.testors.com/product/0/8876C/_/Clear_Parts_Cement_Window_Maker

hello from a long time modeler..... apparently with memory problems.  I'm currently building the Tamiya USS Enterprise in 350 scale.  Using a lot of etch parts from several different manufacturers.  While the build is going well, I would like to fill in the windows of the island.  I seem to recall a product that was used for that process and the name Crystal Clear comes to mind.  Does anyone have information on this or any product that would fill in the windows.  Any information is greatly appreciated.
