Hello, im new!
Posted by luftBuilder on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 5:09 PM

Hey.

I am mainly a ww1 and ww2 luftwaffe builder. but i dabble in armor and ships and anything else. I just built revell 1/72  fw 190 a8 with hagglekorn.  this model sucked it was so sloppy to build i had to use so much putty and sanding lol.  I just wanted to know if any1 else had this problem or was my kit molded on a friday or something? I would have posted a pic but i cant figure out how to do it :)

I have no special knowledge, but there seems to be a difference of opinion:

  1. Set up an account with a place like Photobucket. There’s other services but this is the one a lot of FSM folks use. I recommend that you have an account dedicated for your models, separate from your personal photos, but there’s no requirement for it.
  2. Upload your pictures to your account/album. The FSM site doesn’t provide any photo storage, so if you delete your image, your post will have a hole like this:
    http://i1197.photobucket.com/albums/aa429/FoeDoze/PhotobucketWallpaper.jpg
  3. (This works best if you open 2 windows: 1 in FSM and 1 in Photobucket, et al) Go to the Photobucket window and highlight and copy the “Direct Link” address. Go to the FSM widow containing your unfinished post. Go to the menu bar above your post, the icon that looks like a film strip (you remember film? But I digress…), the 2nd tier of the message control bar, the TWELFTH icon. It says ‘Insert Media’… CLICK IT. Paste the Direct Link address into the appropriate space. Then hit insert.
  4. Wait for the FSM site to show the photo, etc. etc.

Enjoy some laughs and kick back … We’re all barmy.

Barmy adj. barm·i·er, barm·i·est.
    (a) Full of barm; foamy
    (b) Eccentric; daft
    (c) FSM forum member

Welcome to the forums! It's a good group here.

Any specifics on the problems with the190 w/Hagelkorn? I've got the same kit in the stash, and I'd love to know what you found.

Cheers

Greg

Well. alot of flash to start out with.  assembly was awkward, as compared to Tamiya or Acadamy versions of the FW 190.  the fuselage halves did not mate well adding alot of putty and sanding.  I always putty and sand but this was crazy!  the landing gear are very flimsy and dont hold the sirframe high enough off the ground, wich i didnt realize until i had attached the hagglekorn andit almost drags the ground lol.  But it was a $6.00 kit and kept me busy for awhile :)

 sorry  a lil blurry
