hello
Posted by kettenkopf on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 6:01 PM

My name is Mike and I currently live in eastern Pennsylvania.  I started modeling at age 10, building just about any and everything.  Now, at age 52, I build strictly 1/35 scale WWII vehicles.  When I get this computer thing figured out better, I'll start posting some pics of my builds.  My modeling buddies say my work is of contest quality, but I just consider myself an average modeler working on a shoe-string budget.  For those wondering, "kettenkopf" is German, and roughly translates as "tread-head".

Welcome aboard. Posting pics on here can be a bit tricky, but once you get the hang of it, its not so bad. Look forward to seeing some piccies, and i am sure you will have lots to pass onto others after all those years of modelling.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

I should clarify my modeling time,I've restarted modeling on and off about 20 years ago and have only been seriously modeling for the past 3.

Welcome kettenkopf!

Yours is a very familiar tale of new interest in a old or youthful hobby.

I weep for the future as my girlfriends kids are on their second 'game night' MW3 on the PS3... I have no idea what their mid life hobbies would be nor care to speculate.

Anyhow looking forward to seeing some of your work!
