Hello
Posted by Thian on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 3:05 AM

Was looking for lighting tips for an old Romulan Bird of Prey when I ran into this site. I havent built a model in sometime but was wondering if there would be interest in my meger attempts. And if so how do I post the things?

Also sorry in advance. Im not as good as the ones I see on here but what I lack in knowledge and skill I make up for in pure cussidness and determination *LOL*

Welcome, Thian, glad to have you aboard!

No apologies necessary. We all have to start somewhere, and the group here is most supportive and generous when it comes to sharing experience and techniques. And "pure cussedness and determination" is how knowledge and skills improve. Plus a lot of practice.

As for posting photos of your work (which we love, by the way), there's a previous post that addresses it here: /forums/p/110705/1099733.aspx#1099733

Hope you enjoy your time here.

Greg

Ok I got photobucket started and Ive inflicted some of my work on it. Do I post the pictures here or someplace else and how for people to look at? Or do I just give the PB URL so anyone can look at my mess? *LOL*

Also Im full of questions to start with. Im working on a Romulan V8 Bird of Prey and the Old Series USS Enterprise. Would finished work be best or should I post the pictures as I proceed.

Also My Thanks goes out to ZOG. AKA Clyde Jones. A member of this group. I was for a short time one of his hard headed acolytes. *LOL*

Post them in either the Space or Science Fiction forums...that should fit either way.  Looking forward to seeing them.

Welcome Sign The pieces are sealed in the box, but there is a miraculous feeling of the model being there, invisible, illuminated by the crafter’s imagination, and clamoring to become visible. Welcome to the madhouse. Feeding times are irregular, but the natives are friendly (well, MOSTLY friendly).
