Thanks to all for the welcome, Shrikes so to answer your question, I'm looking at my collection of kits and it looks as if 1/48th WWII aircraft dominate the shelves, but 1/35th WWII armour runs a close 2nd, then 1/48th WWI aircraft runs 3rd, cars fall in there somewhere, then there's sci-fi, then.............................

Welcome. We all know the lure of plastic well. Some focus on a subject and others, like me, go for whatever nabs their attention.

Welcome to the forums, Chasra! You're in good company here since there are a lot of us addicted to plastc, and often times resin and photoetched parts too! Smile [:)] What are you building now? I assume you're still building aircraft... Wink [;)]

I can smell the PLASTIC.........
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, February 3, 2004 8:35 AM
Hello to all,
I have been a plastic addict ever since my dad and I walked into a hobby shop back in the late 1950's. There in this amazing boyhood wonderland hanging from the ceiling were unumerable, beautiful, amazing fantacies of miniature warbirds in flight. I could almost hear the engines of these aircraft as they flew around me (or I may have been spinning around in total awe of the experience) in this dreamworld of childhood etcasy. From that point (I can't remember much more of the visit, I think I went into shock) my "HERO" Father bought me my first model kit, I believe it was the AURORA metal flake red ME-109 MESSERSCHMITT. This amazing fighter flew several sorties through my neighborhood and met up with other boyhood fighter pilots. There were many air battles but alas she became a casualty of many crashes.
Okay back to reallity, I have been a builder/collector ever since. I bought the first issue of "FINESCALE MODELER" back in 1982 and have been using this fine magazine ever since for reference. I have been stagnant in building for quite some time and have got the fever once again.
My favorite subject is "PLASTIC" Does'nt matter what, just PLASTIC!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks for reading my ramblings and memories. I am glad to be a new member of this fine magazines forum.
