Greetings from a retired Navy aviation mechanic
Posted by ScottVA36 on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 10:25 PM

Hello,

Im knew to this forum but not the hobby, been modeling for 40 years plus and now that im retired from the navy im currently modeling the aircraft that i worked on in my 22 years of service. Now that Revell has rereleased the A-6 Intruder and decals are available for the squadron that i served in during desert storm (VA-36) I want a perfect model, i have found everything I need/want except one thing - a detailed cockpit I've tried Squadron and there  Avionix/Combat Series cockpit set is out of stock if anybody could steer me in a direction to find one would be greatly appriciated. I have detailed information or can answer many questions on the following aircraft as I worked on them as an Aviation Structural Mechanic (Hyd) Tech.

A-6 Intruder, A-4 Skyhawk, T-2 Buckeye, F-14 Tomcat, and finally the F/A-18 C/D Hornet got out just as the super hornets came into service. Anyway thats me in a nut shell, nice to be aboard.

Thanks.

Welcome to the forum, Scott, and thank you for your service to our country!

I'm sorry I can't  answer your questions, but I am sure there are many other members here who can.

Glad to have you aboard!

Chuck

Welcome aboard! Try E-bay. Is Avionix the only aftermarket choice?
