Just dropping in

I'm in the process of building the Bluejacket T-2 Tanker. It has for the most part been a great ship to work on. I'm pretty impressed with the model itself, but some of the drawings and real lack of instructions are difficult at times. I am giving myself one year to complete this and I'm sure it will be worth every minute that I will have spent on it. I think that I have over 50 hours of sanding and carving on the hull alone not counting the six or seven rudders that I have made. Something just never looks correct to me so I start all over.

Has anyone used Catalized spot putty before? A friend mentioned this to me and I was just wondering if any of you have ever tried the stuff? Pros or Cons would really be super. If I could figure out how to post photos I would love to share a build log with you.
