Welcome back to the hobby and Welcome to the Forums. We have a lot of great guys out there who are ready and willing to help anyone with their questions and problems. The only catch is that we like to see lots of photos. Showing the kids, or in my case the grandkids, what it's all about and how to build is really great. Maybe we'll see one or both of you at a show sometime.

Hello,

Like many of you, I spent a number of adolescent years building model airplanes before life got in the way. Over the past 10 years or so, I put together a few of the old Aurora monster model re-issues and dabbled in model railroading. At a train fair a couple of years ago, someone was selling the Monogram SBD and Kingfisher models for five bucks each. After the last monster model, I got a sudden itch to work on the planes. I build dozens of the old Monogram kits in my youth, and my last build had been the P-38 back in the mid-70s. So far, I've finished the SBD and the P-47 "Bug" (given to me for Christmas by my son, who says he wants me to show him how to do this stuff on the next one). I plan to build WWII birds in 1/48, always my favorite scale. I'm enjoying my return to the hobby and plan to post some pics one of these days.

Cheers,

Stoutfella

Cheers,
