HELLO from the other side..............
Posted by 01JeepXJ on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 2:09 AM

......... long time Scale Auto subscriber/forum member. Have been visiting here informally for some time but have an armor project in mind. Have scoured your community for answers but not being around military subjects since I was young, LOTS has changed.

My bio: Viet Nam veteran 6-69/8-70. CH-47 A  Chinook mechanic. Still working for a living BUT there's light at the end of the tunnel - approx. 2 1/2 more years.

Yeah, we're the guys (S.A.) with the shiney paint & chrome cars/trucks. As I said, I have a Viet Nam project in mind to build but will post later in the armor section my concerns & ignorance of the current military kits/sources. Just hope I don't bore anyone with how, where.

I do have a dedicated work area - 24X78 workbench, airbrush, paint booth/compressor & many tools but never enough tools.

Been building off/on = since I was 10ish.

Thanks for the HI's,guys. I love pics too, but I still haven't gotten over that threshold, I have some directions on HOW. I have the camera to do it but NOT being in my early teens, I'm still in ignorance of the method. Many of us on S.A. are near my age & they don't do pics either.

Sure it can't be that hard to do - too many people do it.

A warm welcome to the FSM forums! Dont be afraid to ask any and all questions as i found this community to be the most helpful and knowledgeable around the web. And a friendly place at that tooWink

In respect to your photographic problem.... All you need is a digital camera and an account at a website where you can upload your pictures to the web like photobucket. How to post your pictures is a common question around here and our member Doogsatx has dedicated some of his time to write a how-to on his website:

http://doogsmodels.com/2011/01/27/how-to-post-your-photos/

Hope you don't mind Doogs and hope it helps 01jeepxj!Yes
