So while I'm not a noob, I'm definitely rusty. You might call me a re-noob.

A story of a Taoist master who was asked, “What is the definition of a master?” The figure replied, “A master is someone who started earlier than you.”

Welcome aboard soul86!Welcome Sign Welcome back to the hobby too!

Im considering starting a thread showing WIP and talking about technique and inviting critique along the way. That way I can re-learn faster, and then there will be this awesome thread that true newbies can refer to when jumping into modeling.

Do any of you guys think thats a good idea? There may already be a thread or forum for this. I'm just finding my way around the halls here and don't even know where the bathrooms or gift shop is yet.

That type of thread will fit in perfectly here. There are tons like it and everyone has 1-2 (or more) going at any time.

You may even be able to enter the B-17 into the Group Build going on right now. I don't know the specifics as I'm not taking part in that one but I'm certain there's a B-17 GB going on.

Hi modellers!

I'm back!.. well, I've never really been here until now but I mean I'm back in the world of modeling. Not having built a kit since Reagan was president, I began to have the itch last year and my return to building was ensured when my significantly sweet sweetie got me a kit for Christmas this past December.

Back in the day I was a madman builder, mostly military armor and some aircraft. Mostly Tamiya kits. Sometimes working on 2 or 3 kits over the course of a weekend (gotta have something to do while the paint is drying right?)

So while I'm not a noob, I'm definitely rusty. You might call me a re-noob.

Anyway. Hoping to have some fun. And BTW my first build will be the Revell 1/72nd B-17 Little Miss Mischief. Yup jumping into the NMF right out of the gate.

Cya! Stick out tongue
