Hello all
Posted by PaperPanzer on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 2:31 PM

Hello fellow scale modelers! I am currently 16 and on armor kits right now. I have been with this hobby for the past five years now, and I love it!

I am currently building Tamiya's 1/48 scale Schwimmwagen, thinking of marking it for Grossduetchland division, 1940.

I also tackle the occasional aircraft or ship. Occasionally a car winds up on the workbench.

Post a reply!

Welcome to the forum! Glad to see some of the younger crowd in the forum. There was a discussion about this recently called "the current state of modeling" that talked about how you youngins are not participating. Welcome Sign

My Dad introduced me to the hobby, worked on almost nothing but Tamiya Panzer 2s, 3s,and 4s.

I recently got a new workbench, good thing my dad's hobby is woodworking!

Welcome to the forum, always nice to see some younger guys coming into the hobby, and enjoying it.

I'm not sure how important historical accuracy is to you. But if it is, the Scwimmwagen didn't enter production until 1942, so wouldn't be accurate for 40.

Welcome, Paper Panzer!  I started modeling when I was younger than you.  I am now 70 and still going strong!  This is a great hobby, keep on truckin', and enjoy it.  It gets better as you go along.

BaBill212: Unfortunately my email address is my Mom's, I don't have one myselfSad She doesn't want a Photobucket either, guess I'll just have to wait.

-By the way, I re- did the scheme, still Grossdeutschland division, but dark grey overall, I added a Panzerfaust 30 (the small one) inside.

Pz Grey is still ok as that was in use until early 43. You don't often see Schwims in that, buts its possable. And the Pz faust is a nice touch.
