Greetings from Maryland
Posted by Wolfp on Wednesday, March 12, 2003 3:54 PM
Hi all,

Just wanted to drop in and let you know I will be skulking about. I am 35 years young and just getting back into the hobby after a 15 year absence (got a new airbrush and compressor for the b'day and welcome back to modelling Smile [:)] ). I am into WWII ships and armor (planes irritate me due to droopy wings with gaps, suppose I will figure it out one day Tongue [:P]). I do dabble with some sci-fi stuff, and figure painting. For you members in the US, I found this in my email box today, sounds like a good way to show your true colors and help the national effort:

- GOD BLESS AMERICA!

As we all know, the Taliban considers it a sin for a man to see a naked woman who is not his wife. So, next Saturday at 2:00 PM Eastern time, all American women are asked to walk out of their house completely naked to help weed out any neighborhood terrorists. Circling your block for one hour is recommended for this anti-terrorist effort.

All men are to position themselves in lawn chairs in front of their house to prove they are not Taliban, demonstrate that they think it's okay to see nude women other than their wife and to show support for all American women. And since the Taliban also does not approve of alcohol, a cold six-pack at your side is further proof of your anti-Taliban sentiment.

The American Government appreciates your efforts to root out terrorists and applauds your participation in this anti-terrorist activity. God bless America!

IT IS YOUR PATRIOTIC DUTY TO PASS THIS ON!

For the rest of the international community present, don't see why you can't join in if you want Big Smile [:D] .
Anyway, looking forward to trading ideas back and forth as I get back into the swing of things. A big Semper Fi and OOH RAH! too all former and present Marine bretheren and sisters within this community. Chat at ya later.

Wolfp,

Sorry to hear about your departure overseas. Let me share a few words of wisdom you. These were passed on to me by a good friend.

1. Never share a foxhole with someone braver than yourself.

2. The only thing more accurate then enemy fire is friendly fire.

3. Tracers work both ways.

Keep your head down
