I recently built my first model in 4.8 decades. Retired, looking for some quiet, at-home satisfaction with two builds currently going at once. I had forgotten how much fun this is. I built planes, ships and cars as a kid. I am currently building naval aircraft and aircraft carriers, but will probably concentrate on naval planes, mostly, having spent four years of my wayward youth as a flight deck ordnanceman in an F-4 squadron. I have heard that Phantoms never die, they just get spookier. Ditto for me, I reckon. My kids sure think my building models is spooky, but my grandkids think it's cool, and the wife thinks it's just fine, so I'm in.
I'm sure I'll be on the aircraft board looking for help, so be kind.
